Privacy policy

Taxi HR takes your privacy seriously. This page explains what data we collect, why we collect it and what rights you have. We process your data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible for your data?

Taxi HR, Oudeliersebaan 34, 2800 Mechelen, Belgium — VAT BE 1002.943.277. For any question about your data, contact us at info@taxihr.be.

What data do we collect?

When you request a ride we ask only for what we need to carry it out: your name, phone number, email address, pick-up address, destination, date, time, number of passengers and any notes you add. We never ask for payment details on this website. We set no analytics or advertising cookies.

Why do we process it?

Solely to handle your request, tell you whether we are available, and carry out the ride. The legal basis is the performance of a contract at your request, together with your consent for the related contact.

Who do we share it with?

Only with the providers needed to run the website: Cloudflare (website hosting and storage of the booking, servers in the European Union) and Resend (sending the confirmation emails). When we send ourselves an internal WhatsApp alert, it contains only the reference number, pick-up point, destination, time and number of passengers — never your name, phone number or email address. We never sell your data and never use it for advertising.

Google Maps

On the contact page and in the booking form we use Google Maps to complete addresses and show a map. Google may place cookies and process your IP address. That is why we only load Google Maps after you explicitly agree. If you decline, the form still works and you simply type the address yourself.

How long do we keep it?

We keep booking data for a maximum of 12 months after the ride, for our records and any follow-up questions. After that it is deleted. Requests that were declined or never carried out are deleted after 3 months.

Security

The website runs entirely over a secure HTTPS connection. Booking data is stored in a database accessible only to the owner through a secure login. The links we use to confirm or decline a ride are cryptographically signed and can be used only once.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, and to object to its processing. Email info@taxihr.be to exercise those rights. If you are not satisfied with our answer you may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels — www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
